You have seen those monstrous bulldozers roaming in the once were vacant areas in our neighborhood. You may have wondered what on earth they are doing with those empty areas. Now, please allow me to shed some light based on what I have found on the City's public meeting material. If you have heard anything different, that is okay, I am only repeating what the City said.
1. Lennar Homes, South of Heritage Parkway. These are 98 single family homes (R-4) to be built be Lennar.
2. Parkview, Springlake south of Jack Slaven Park.
For those who enjoy the walk after dinner around the Jack Slaven park and the vast open space adjacent to it, you may find youself walking in front of people's front yard very soon. Yes. the City has approved 108 single family houses to be built on that vacant area by Talor Morrison. whew! at least not a dog park, again!
I also heard of the rumor that some low-incoming houses (meaning apartments) will be constructed on the lot north of Heritage Parkway and east of Miekle Ave. That was the original plan too. However, I was not able to find the City's document to back it up. May be you can help?
Just so you know, they are other projects approved by the City in the Sringlake area too, but they are a little farther away from where I live. So I took less interest in it. Unit next time.
